If you haven’t caught on, I’m a pretty nostalgic person when it comes to television. I’m not really up on a lot of what’s new, but I’m devoted to shows that I watched in the ’90s and early 2000s. Having said that, here’s your reminder that One Tree Hill premiered today, 10 years ago. Here’s an accurate list of what the show taught its viewers, a-la Buzzfeed.
Like most teenage dramas that were on the CW, most actors fade into the alternate universe of former teenage TV stars. I know Bethany Joy Lenz-Galeotti (Haley) tried making “The Notebook” a musical, Chad Michael Murray’s (Lucas) biggest gig was an officer in “Fruitvale Station,” and James Lafferty (Nathan) – to the dismay of most 20-something women – hasn’t done anything.
And with that, let’s hope none of us ever have a psycho stalker, have a dog eat our heart, or let anyone tell us to go Brooke ourself. Some situations are made to stay on screen.
