It’s like the gift that keeps on giving. After Miley Cyrus said her “Wrecking Ball” video was inspired by Sinead O’Connor last week, O’Connor penned an open letter to Miley Cyrus, saying she was “extremely concerned” about Cyrus for allowing herself to be “pimped” out by the music business. Miley then fired back with some flip tweet comparing O’Connor to troubled actress Amanda Bynes.
Well, well, well Ms. O’Connor was clearly not going to let that one slide. After all, it is pretty tasteless to make fun of mental illness — something that O’Connor has publicly dealt with in the past.
So here’s where we find ourselves now (to the tune of “The Twelve Days of Christmas”): four open letters, three jabs from Miley, two buzzed-off hair cuts, and one awkward Matt Lauer interview. Not to mention most recently the Bangerz star dodging the question of “kissing and making up” with O’Connor with, “Are we supposed to kiss?”
Stay tuned, folks.
