Over the weekend, Michelle Williams hit the New Yorker Festival for an on-stage Q&A session with writer David Denby.
While the blonde-haired actress has a trio of Oscar noms on her resume – 2011’s My Week with Marilyn landed the most recent – the interview dipped into Williams’ acting roots.
The 1998 debut of Dawson’s Creek propelled the 33-year old into the spotlight. She talked with Denby about a recent trip to Wilmington, NC, where she spent six seasons as Jen Lindley, with daughter Matilda Ledger.
“I actually hadn’t been back since the show ended, but I went back and took my daughter on vacation and saw people I hadn’t seen in 10 years and went to all the places that we used to go,” she said according to E! News. “And it was great. It was actually a real stroke of luck to be transported there.”
